PADI Rescue Certification

About the Course

The PADI® Rescue Diver course will change the way you dive – in the best possible way. Learn to identify and fix minor issues before they become big problems, gain a lot of confidence and have serious fun along the way. Discover why countless divers say Rescue Diver is their favorite scuba course.

Rates & Times

  • Pricing varies with time of year, availability, and number of divers. Give us a call to discuss your options.

  • PADI eLearning must be completed prior to certification. If you would like to purchase this from us, it is an additional $202.

  • We run the Rescue Diver course over two days of open water training.

  • Check in time is 8:00 am each day, usually finishing around 2:00 pm.

Requirements

  • Age requirement: Must be at least 12 years old and in reasonably good physical health.

  • Completion of PADI Medical Statement is required.

  • Equivalent of PADI Advanced Open Water certification.

  • Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) training within the past 2 years. We can provide this training as well.

  • Ability to understand and speak English (for safety reasons).

  • Minors (under 18) must be accompanied by an adult on our boat.

  • Note: Divers aged 12-14 will receive a Junior Rescue Diver certification.

Rescue Dives

  • Includes an introduction to providing Emergency Oxygen. If you would like to become a certified Emergency Oxygen provider, ask us for more information.

  • You will learn how to apply CPR and First Aid training in diving scenarios.

  • The Rescue Diver course consists of several exercises conducted in open water, mostly at or near the surface. This is where most emergency situations tend to occur.

  • Become prepared on how to act as a first responder in a variety of situations, ranging from panicked to unresponsive divers.
