PADI Advanced

Open Water Certification

Take your skills as a certified diver to the next level. Learn about diving to new depths, underwater navigation, and master your buoyancy control. This course consists of 5 Adventure Dives, with no time needed in a classroom or pool. Dive right in and become an Advanced diver today!

This course helps you build confidence and expand your scuba skills through different Adventure Dives. You will try different specialties while gaining experience under the supervision of your PADI Instructor, and you can start right after earning your PADI Open Water certification. Each Adventure Dive you complete for your PADI Advanced Open Water course can count toward the first dive of the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver Course. If you’ve already taken a Specialty Diver course, ask your instructor if you can use that as credit toward an Adventure Dive.

We had 5 excellent dives with Aquatic Life. They were recommended by a friend and we decided to book an Advanced Open Water Course with them while on the island. The staff was great - everyone was friendly and helpful. We have had a fair amount of experience (over 50 dives each) but felt like the staff helped us hone skills in a number of areas. Even better, they were friendly, funny, and very knowledgeable. We had one instructor really working with us, Tara, and she was great- encouraging and very good at finding sea critters and pointing them out. We saw a lot of fish species and improved our underwater fish ID substantially. The boat was clean and comfortable. We had our own gear but used their wetsuits. We are going back tomorrow for a Twilight and then a Blackwater dive which should be a real highlight. Our Manta Night Dive was a really different experience with 8-10 mantas circling a swimming all around us and within inches. We will be back for more diving and hope to see Ryan, Mary, Noam, Tara, Doug, Erin, Suzy and the rest of the crew again!
